Live music at the festival: Kokou Nagaan & Band

Live music at the festival Kokou Nagaan was born in Togoville in southern Togo. He was born into a musical family and started acting and singing at an early age, under the tuition of his grandmother. He has lived in Cologne since 1994. In his music – a mixture of world music, reggae, rumba and afrobeat – he sings about love, spirituality, nature and humanity. He has made music in Cologne as part of various projects and has been performing with his current band since 2019. Band members include Tom Denter (guitar), Guylain Kubindama (drums, cajón) and August Verburg (keyboard).
