From Nigeria, to Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania and Morocco, Nigerian director Ike Nnaebue retraces the route he took 21 years ago to reach Europe. Treading these same migratory paths, he meets men and women who talk about their desires, dreams and fears. Although the journey seems more organized than on his first journey, waiting and risk remain two important components of the journey. NO U-TURN provides a personal perspective on today’s migration as well as gives a voice to the different destinies on the road to Europe.
Ike Nnaebue tell us here about NO U-TURN on the occasion of the 19th edition of the Africa Film Festival in Cologne.
