DIDY

Gaël Kamilindi was just five years old when his mother, DIDY, died. The memories of her presence have since been lost in the fury of the civil wars, genocide and AIDS that ravaged Burundi and then Rwanda, leading to his exile to Switzerland. Returning to Rwanda thirty years later, he ventures to reopen the pages of his family history by meeting those who knew his mother. DIDY celebrated its world premiere at VISIONS DU RÉEL - FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE CINÉMA NYON and can be seen for the first time in Germany at the AFFK.
