LE TAXI, LE CINÉMA ET MOI
Filmforum Ludwig Ticketshop
Drissa Touré, a taxi driver, met Ousmane Sembène on a journey one day. From that day on, he decided that he too would become a director. LE TAXI, LE CINÉMA ET MOI looks back at the life of this self-taught Burkinabe director, who was famous in his country and on the international scene in the 1990s and who disappeared from the film scene overnight. Through the portrait of Drissa Touré, director Salam Zampaligré reveals the precariousness of artists as a consequence of structural policies and raises the question of the future of African cinema.
