Nixon Singa

Nixon Singa is a director and screenwriter. After an intense youth in football, which ended due to an injury, he turned to his passion for theater and film and studied at the Conservatory of Orléans. He gained his first on-camera experience in several short films. In 2017, he directed his first self-produced short film, À chacun sa peine. In 2018, he participated in the Ciclic workshops for emerging talents in Centre-Val de Loire, where he honed his skills and gained insight into the audiovisual industry. In 2019, he directed his second short film, De l’autre côté, about a father’s quest for revenge after the Gestapo massacred his family. In 2020, he joined La Résidence at La Fémis, a program for self-taught filmmakers. For his graduation film, Espoir, he immersed himself in the world of a football academy; the film was well received and acquired by Canal+. At the end of 2024, he directed his first produced short film, Gioia, focusing on Afro Dance and cultural appropriation.
