South Africa during Apartheid: the shanty town Marseilles has fallen victim to brutal police oppression. Only the young “Five Fingers” are putting up a fight against the attacks – their efforts to protect their home town are courageous but largely innocuous.  But one day that all changes. A conflict escalates dangerously, and the hotheaded Tau kills two police officers before fleeing the town. Tau does not return to Marseilles until 20 years later. The feared outlaw has since been named the “Lion of Marseilles” but he now yearns for a peaceful life and to be reunited with his old pals. They have all since taken up respected leadership roles in Marseilles. The town itself seems to be at peace. But Tau quickly finds out all is not as it seems. Now a new danger besets Marseilles and Tau – against his will – is forced to take up arms once more.
